Department of Computer and
Communication Engineering
Introduction
The Department of Computer and Communication Engineering (CCE), located at First Campus, offers four-year bachelor
program (since 1995), master program (since 1998) and doctoral program (since 2001) in Computer and Communication
Engineering. In accordance with the demands of advanced industrial manpower for research and development in electrical
engineering and computer science, the CCE Department offers multiple courses from first-year to graduate level,
encompassing all areas of information technology and communication engineering. The Department combines the
academic and research endeavors of both information engineering and communication engineering into a driven, cohesive
department, focused on providing students with an excellent academic experience and making the next research
breakthrough. The CCE Department is IEET-accredited and is home to more than 560 students and 20 faculty members.
With a vibrant research program at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, our vision is to be a leader in promoting
learning, discovery and innovation, and in providing current and future engineers, educators and researchers with an
understanding of technical and societal challenges and the training and tools to address them.
Mission
• To provide a quality education in Computer and Communication Engineering and to instill in students the attitude, values,
and vision that will prepare them for a lifetime of continued learning and leadership in their chosen careers.
• To generate new knowledge through research, utilize such knowledge to improve quality of life, and facilitate technology
transfer for the benefit of the nation and the global community.

Career Directions
With a degree in computer and communication engineering, our alumni find their careers in a wide range of sectors
including electronics, telecommunications, IT, aerospace, automotive and energy, working as system engineers, multimedia
design engineers, communication system engineers, computer network engineers, IC design engineers, computer
programmers, network security specialists, etc. In accordance with the rapid development of information and
communication technologies, the CCE Department leads the pace and provides our students with state-of-the-art
professional training to face the technical challenges and meet the demands at work.
