    Anumber of new films now in production in the UK are being shot on Fuji. A Lonely War, co-produced by the BBC, HBO and Scott Free, deals with Churchill’s wilder- ness years during the years of appeasement in Thirties’ Britain. It stars Albert Finney, Vanessa Redgrave, Ronnie Barker and Jim Broadbent. Lit by Peter Hannan BSC, it is directed by Richard Loncraine.
A Flight Of Fancy, produced and directed by David Fairman, stars Jason Flemying in a roman- tic comedy written by Sharon Cobb. The DP is Tony Imi BSC and the film is being shot on location in London and off junc- tion 6 of the M40 in Oxfordshire.
From Little Wing Films comes American Cousins now being filmed in Glasgow. A comedy about a pair of Italian-American gangsters on the run from the Ukrainian mob in Scotland, it stars Danny Nucci, Dan Hedaya, Gerald Lepkowski and Shirley Henderson. Directed by Don Coutts, the DP is Jerry Kelly.
Little Wing is also behind Conspiracy Of Silence, a controversial drama set in Ireland which challenges celibacy and its implications for the Catholic Church in the 21st Century. Shooting in London and Cornwall, the cast includes Jonathan Forbes, Jason Barry, Hugh Bonneville, John Lynch, Brenda Fricker and Jim Ellis. John Deery is the writer-director and it’s lit by Jason Lehel.
On location in The Shetlands is Devil’s Gate, described as “a gritty love drama following a girl’s hunt for her missing mother and return to her isolated childhood home where she finds more than she expected.” Co-
