WHY DO YOU WANT TO SERVE ON THE BAGI BOARD OF DIRECTORS? Having invested 20 years of mycareerwithAndersenWindows,Ispentanother10yearsinthe“corporateworld.” Overthatperiod,Ioftenfound myself missing the building industry; primarily because of the people that make it up. Straight forward, honest and hard working. I’d like to serve on the BAGI Board because I enjoy brainstorming in team environments; looking for
new and/or creative ways to  nd solutions to challenges or other issues that need to be addressed.
WHAT IS YOUR VISION AS A BOARD MEMBER? Ultimately, BAGI is about supporting professional building and remodeling professionals. If we can support and help grow their businesses, we’re all better off. I’d like to see Marvin and other leading organizations in our industry collaborate on bringing forward different initiatives, tools, training or other ideas forward towards helping BAGI’s trade members be more successful.
HOW ARE YOU CURRENTLY INVOLVED WITH BAGI? Most of my time has been spent with the professionals thatmakeupBuildingPartnersofCentralIndiana(BPCI). Ilovethe“threeprocesspillars”(competitivepricing, innovationandstrivingtowardsef ciency)theyusetodifferentiatethemselvesinthemarketplace. Giventheirunique value proposition, I’ve enjoyed getting to know BPCI’s Operations Manager Ken Armstrong – and looking for ways to help them reach more consumers with the unique value proposition they provide.
WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT POSITION AT WORK? Senior Territory Manager for Indiana. Marvin sells strictly through independent dealers and/or lumber yards (i.e. no Big Boxes) which sets us apart from our competition. The best part of my job is supporting these independent businesses look for and consider new ways to serve their customers
WHAT ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUES FACING THE RESIDENTIAL INDUSTRY AND HOW CAN BAGI ADDRESS THEM? Labor, labor and labor. From the Ground Up is an excellent program and I’m impressedwithitssuccessthusfar. Thatsaid,I’dliketoexplorewaystobringmoreyoungprofessionalsintoour industryasframingcontractors. It’sashametoseehomesthatareunderconstructionjustsittingthere...because of the shortage of these folks.
HOW HAVE YOUR EXPERIENCES IN THE BUILDING INDUSTRY INFLUENCED YOUR LIFE?
Related to my response to the  rst question, working in the building industry has simply reinforced how important it is toworkwithasenseofintegrityand“doingwhat’sright.” Toooften,“CorporateAmerica”losessiteofthethat,which has contributed to many of the challenges our country is facing today.
LASTLY, WHAT ARE YOUR INTERESTS/HOBBIES? Golf, exercise, yardwork, keeping up on current events and reading.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO SERVE ON THE BAGI BOARD OF DIRECTORS?
My experience has been very eye opening the last three years. Working with other professionals has given me new thoughts about how to run our business.

Do what he or she can to help the industry.
HOW ARE YOU CURRENTLY INVOLVED WITH BAGI?
Current Board Member, Current Remodelers Council. I attend as many meeting as possible, interact with others and bring a different way of how BAGI can also help the Remodelers.
WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT POSITION AT WORK?
President of Centennial Construction & Remodeling
WHAT ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT ISSUES FACING THE RESIDENTIAL INDUSTRY AND HOW CAN BAGI ADDRESS THEM? Industry - not enough paper to write on. Come talk to me. Remodeling - Code issues that arise that only could be  xed or done correctly during the building of the home.
HOW HAVE YOUR EXPERIENCES IN THE BUILDING INDUSTRY INFLUENCED YOUR LIFE?
Leadership - Both family and work. I have clients, friends and family that call all the time to ask about their own projects (both in and out of state).
LASTLY, WHAT ARE YOUR INTERESTS/HOBBIES?
Build at least one house a year out of state.
Boating, skiing, hunting, coaching basketball, football, gardening Stay busy. Don’t sit around and watch the world go by.
