The Congolese people have been subjected to several aggravating factors
throughout the country, including the persistence of challenges, the fra-
gility of the social fabric, and the epidemiological situation, deterioration
of the food situation, precarious socioeconomic conditions, natural disas-
ters, continued activity of armed groups, and so on.
ADRA works with the Congolese people; the history of these people, which
was once catastrophic, has begun to change for the better. Today, it is
thanks to the BUREKA Project, a multi-sectoral approach put in place with
USAID/BHA funds, that more than 63000 vulnerable people have received
assistance to improve their quality of life through agriculture, economic
development, food assistance, hygiene, and clean water, all while pro-
moting a safe and favorable environment for women, children, and the
elderly.
ADRA continues to assist vulnerable people and will not stop. Several fam-
ilies are regaining their joy of life and smile because of this assistance.
