       in the 1930S as he was working on the history of Quanzhen, and posthumously
       completed and published. The anthology includes inscriptions from the Han
       to the Ming, but nearly 900 of its 1,500 texts date from the ]in-Yuan period.
       Extant Taoist inscriptions number over IO,OOO in all, but it will take decades
       before a comprehensive survey is available.
