On behalf of the National Business Products Industry and the Fellowes team, I would like to extend a heartfelt congratulations to our 2024 Spirit of Life® Honoree, Harry Dochelli and the entire Essendant organization. Harry and his team have lifted the torch high this year, continuing a 42-year tradition of advancing hope through raising tremendous support and engagement for City of Hope.
A successful and trusted business leader, longstanding NBPI City of Hope council member and loyal friend to many across the industry – it is no surprise that the Fulfilling Hope campaign under Harry’s leadership was extraordinarily successful in 2024! Building on foundational campaign programs, Harry and team also brought creativity and intentionality to advance engagement across the industry in numerous ways including:
• $100k in NBPI event participation.
• The 2024 Honoree Golf Outing at Philadelphia Cricket Club and the Memorial Golf Outing raising over $400k this year!
• Numerous event and non-event fundraising programs across Essendant, their suppliers and customers.
• A Walk for Hope event across 5 locations in the U.S.
I would also like to thank the thousands of NBPI executive and loyal City of Hope supporters across the country for their continued and generous support this year. Through the work of many, our industry has raised over $270 million for City of Hope over 4+ decades. As a result of these contributions the acceleration of research, treatments and cures are incalculable – the transformational impact to numerous lives is invaluable.
Congratulations to the entire industry for this year’s achievements and thank you for continuing to reach for the higher purpose in our collective work. I could not have named a more worthy and respected honoree to lead the cause this past year. I could not be prouder to be associated with an industry that fights for good and shows such care.
