Joe is a member of the Corporate Accounting Team within Finance at Red Roof. Ever since mid-March when he and many other Red Roof Associates began working remotely, Joe has been emailing the
Finance Team what he has now coined, “Corona Chronicles” – not just periodically, but every weekday.
Steve Bornholdt wrote of the Chronicles, “You can tell that Joe invests considerable time, spirit and heart in this incredible exercise and that
he certainly has Goose Blood. Each day we are blessed with a new motivational message tying together subjects that can be as diverse as his love for sports, family, friends and lessons learned while growing up to history, books and beliefs. These messages can be as short as a couple of paragraphs or as long as pages peppered with photos. No matter what, they are consistently heartwarming, inspiring and relevant to our times and the challenges we all face in this Coronavirus-altered-world that we are all struggling to adapt to.”
Kevin Wiggins also commended Joe’s words and shared, “Joe has been
a beacon of light for many Associates during the dark times of COVID. Many people look forward to them and more than once, what he’s written has changed my outlook on things and uplifted my spirits when I needed it most. I cannot express how appreciative I am of his efforts to help keep our team glued together when we are all physically apart.”
