regular 40-year customer of Store 30 came in for his
coffee, as he does every morning. Sue knew he had just returned from a vacation at Disney and would be in that day. This happened to be the day before he was due
to undergo open heart surgery. Fred is a staple at Store 30, so Sue came in with a Wawa gift card, a bag of coffee and
a “Thinking of You” card from our store to present to him ahead of his surgery. The customer was so emotional and appreciative of Sue’s kind gesture, and it truly speaks to her character. I am pleased to know such a wonderful person who is committed to Delighting Customers. This is why
I do what I do, and to see Sue and Fred hug on the sales floor and wish him a speedy recovery just made my day.
