how their day was and the customer did not respond
well. So, Maria, being the kind and caring person she is, asked why. The customer informed Maria that she was a Special Education teacher and ran into a student at a local store. The student was so upset because he wanted a hug from his teacher, but she couldn’t give him one due to COVID and safety reasons, so she purchased him his favorite treat instead, which happened to be Cheez-its. The teacher was upset because she wanted to
do more to make her student happy but didn’t have the means. Maria then asked this customer for a list of some of her students’ favorite items, so she could make a care package for them! It was truly a heartwarming moment to see how much Maria cared to hear this customer’s story and then take it a step further to help. Maria always goes above and beyond at the store level to make sure she Delights Customers and it truly shows. Customers are always so happy to interact with her and you can see how happy she is to return the favor. Maria is an example of how we all should be Delighting Customers every day!
