ommy was working on the fuel court when there was
a major accident on Route 70 behind him. A car tried to make an illegal left into the store’s parking lot and cut
off a man on a motorcycle. The motorcycle, going about 50 mph, hit the car sending the rider about 25 feet off his bike where he landed in the middle of the road. Without missing a beat, Tommy ran to the street and started to block traffic. The team then ran out to help in any way we could before the ambulance and police arrived. All he cared about was making sure this man felt safe and knew we were there for him. I did find out later that day, from a retired AGM, that the gentleman did have a broken back, broken ankle and lacerations, but thankfully was not paralyzed. This could have been so much worse had it not been for Tommy’s quick response! Tommy is an amazing person inside and out, so this heroic act was not shocking to any of us.
