ne night, during third shift, a woman came running
into our store screaming that her baby was not breathing. Maureen jumped right in and began to help. The baby had somehow swallowed a large piece of wool and had a blocked airway. Maureen got the string out, allowing the baby to breathe again, calmed the mother down and then went back to work completely calm and collected. She is a hero to the mother and the rest of us, but she believes she only did what anyone would do. The mother came back
in to thank her again and to show her just how active her 2-year-old is due to her life-saving efforts. Maureen gives her all to everything she does, and this incident was no different. Her knowledge and calm demeanor make her a great role model and teacher to others. She has a big heart and is a very valuable asset to Wawa!
