HERE’S TO THE HELPERS Wawa Day Pivots to Celebrate the Helpers
On Thursday, April 16th, Wawa celebrated its founding day by dedicating the anniversary to the essential workers courageously helping others impacted by COVID-19. A special tribute video, “Here’s to the #Helpers,” featured Associates bravely reporting to work to serve first responders. Posted on social media channels as a public thank you from the 36,000 Wawa Associates to individuals
on the front lines, it showcased our Associates expressing gratitude to healthcare heroes with food donations and supporting community members by distributing food to people in need. In conjunction with the heartfelt message, Wawa coordinated a record-breaking donation of 3,000 meals in one week to organizations in need and announced an additional $250,000 for eligible non-profits and food banks working to relieve hunger in our community.
