The APEC Voices delegates were honoured to attend a
closed-door dialogue with H.E. Gita Wirjawan, Minister
of Trade, Republic of Indonesia at the Mercure Bali,
Nusa Dua Hotel Ballroom. The Indonesian Trade
Minister openly shared the challenges faced by
Indonesian youth and Indonesia’s role at the global
and regional levels in relation to trade. The sharing was
followed by a very lively question-and-answer session
where the minister patiently answered the youth’s
queries in spite of his very tight schedule.
At the APEC Leaders’ Week in Bali, Ms Aileen Yap Leng
Lee, Deputy Executive Director of the National Youth
Achievement Award Council of Singapore and Co-
Chair, APEC Voices Working Committee was honoured
with the Outstanding APEC Voices Leadership Award
for her dedication and outstanding leadership in
organizing a very successful APEC Voices program in
Yokohama, Japan in 2010, Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, 2011,
Vladivostok, Russia, 2012 and Bali, Indonesia 2013.

The outstanding APEC Voices Leadership Award was presented to Ms
Yap by H.E. Gita Wirjawan, Minister of Trade, Republic of Indonesia.
The APEC Voices Leadership Council and all the 21 APEC Member
Economies were very grateful for her leadership and contributions.
During the two-day APEC CEO Summit, APEC Voices of the Future
delegates were in full attendance to listen to the addresses by APEC
Leaders on various issues related to the global economy and filed
their questions at the Summit. APEC Voices of the Future leaders also
had the opportunity to meet their respective Heads of Economies Mr Soh with H.E. Chatib Basri, Minister of Finance,
