The NYAA Gold Award Holders’ Alumni, or GAHA, was set up
by the first batch of NYAA Gold Award recipients in 1995. To
date, GAHA has over 5000 members. GAHA is the prime mover
of the NYAA’ movement’ in Singapore. Several GAHA members
today hold leadership positions in government ministries,
statutory boards, civil society movements, grassroots
organisations, and MNCs based in Singapore and abroad. They
help propagate the attitude of service and accountability on
the ground. The NYAA continues to provide opportunities for
GAHA and its members to work on high signature projects in
Singapore and abroad.
The NYAA journey has been one of self-discovery
and development. It has provided me with
many opportunities and platforms to serve the
community and those in need. Through these
experiences, I truly appreciate servant leadership’s
true meaning. My experiences have shaped how
I lead in my professional life and my community
work.
