For over 25 years, the HSBC NYAA Youth Environmental Award has been a cornerstone in fostering environmental
protection and nature conservation in Singapore. Since its establishment in 1998, the award has recognised the
importance of nurturing young leaders passionate about safeguarding our planet. Through this initiative, recipients
were allowed to embark on fully sponsored overseas expeditions to collaborate with scientists and researchers at the
renowned Earthwatch Institute. These immersive experiences gave the awardees a broader, global perspective on
the intricate challenges facing our environmental ecosystems are facing and how they could contribute to ensuring
their protection and sustainability.

Upon their return to Singapore, these young leaders did not rest on their laurels. Many continued their journeys
