Khairudin Saharom
Khairudin Saharom, a trailblazer in Singapore’s
architectural and environmental scene, was among
the first cohort of the HSBC NYAA Youth Environmental
Award recipients in 1998. Recognised for his leadership
in environmental protection and nature conservation
during his undergraduate studies at the National
University of Singapore, Khairudin participated in a study
trip to Thailand to study organic farming and ecological
practices organised by the UNEP Asia Pacific Regional
Office. He has since built an illustrious career dedicated
to sustainability in architecture and community service.
As Principal/Director of Kite Studio Architecture Pte
Ltd, Khairudin has championed innovative designs
prioritising environmental sustainability, making it
a central tenet of his architectural and engineering
solutions. His firm has been instrumental in blending
aesthetics with eco-friendly practices, setting a
benchmark for environmentally conscious architecture
in the region.
Khairudin’s early career at PWD Consultants saw
him contribute to landmark projects such as MGM’s
