Louis Ng Kok Kwang
Louis Ng Kok Kwang has dedicated his life to wildlife
conservation, environmental protection, and public
service. His passion for these causes began during
his undergraduate studies at the National University
of Singapore, where he became deeply involved in
environmental activism and animal welfare.
Louis’s journey started as a volunteer docent at the
Singapore Zoological Gardens, where he shared his love
and knowledge of animals with the public. Recognising
his commitment, he was soon elected to the Executive
Committee of Jalan Hijau, a youth environmental sub-
group of the Nature Society of Singapore. In this role, he
organised educational talks and exhibitions in schools,
effectively raising awareness about the importance of
wildlife protection among young people.
In 1999, Louis’s dedication was further recognised when Louis Ng Kok Kwang
