Goh Koon Jeow Oliver
Goh Koon Jeow Oliver has consistently championed
environmental stewardship, with his efforts rooted in
sustainability and community engagement. His journey
began as Vice-Chairman of Ngee Ann Polytechnic's
Building and Environment Green Volunteer (BEGV) group
in 2005, where he mobilised peers to adopt sustainable
practices, including recycling, resource conservation,
and pollution reduction. Oliver extended his influence
to secondary schools, ITEs, and the wider community,
advocating for a more sustainable future.
Oliver's leadership was instrumental in organising
impactful conservation initiatives. He spearheaded
activities at Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, hosted eco-
camps, and led workshops that educated younger
students about forest and marine conservation, all
while promoting recycling as a fundamental practice for
environmental responsibility.
In 2005, he led the development of a Cleanliness
Index for Singapore, a six-month research project in
collaboration with the National Environment Agency
(NEA), which offered empirical insights to improve
Singapore's living environment. This project showcased
