Kenneth Wong Chong Wai

Kenneth Wong Chong Wai's journey in environmental
conservation began early, leading his secondary
school classmates in beach clean-ups at just 13. This
wasn't merely about clearing coastlines—it was about
educating his peers and the broader community on each
person's critical role in protecting the environment. His
commitment to environmental stewardship has only
            grown stronger over time.

As a grassroots leader, Kenneth initiated energy
conservation projects within his community, encouraging
residents to adopt sustainable practices such as energy-
efficient lighting and water-saving devices. His efforts
fostered long-term sustainable habits, creating a lasting Kenneth Wong Chong Wai
impact on the community. Lecturer, Institute of Technical Education

Executive Committee Member of the NYAA Gold Award

            address environmental challenges, demonstrating his
leadership in fostering collaboration and innovation.

In 2010, Kenneth's dedication was recognised with
the prestigious HSBC NYAA Youth Environment Award,
affirming his commitment to conservation and ability to
inspire others. He went to Costa Rica with fellow winners
