time, we must continue to preserve our traditional
recipes and cooking techniques, encouraging younger
generations to embrace the hawker trade through
apprenticeships and mentorship programmes.

This journey has given me a newfound respect for our
hawker culture and the people behind it. Hawker centres
are truly special — they connect us through food,
history, and heart. I hope more people, especially young
Singaporeans like myself, will continue to appreciate and
support our hawker culture for generations to come.
