Leadership – Political-Economic Regional Business And Socio-Community Contexts

Mr Kenneth Wong, a lecturer with ITE College Central and an NYAA Gold Award holder (2000 Cohort), was
invited by Prof Lim Tai Wei, an expert in Northeast Asian Affairs on North Korea, Hong Kong and the inaugural
Trump-China Summit in Singapore to share his views on leadership skills in a book on Community Leadership
and Social Development in Singapore.

Mr Wong is an active member of the NYAA Gold Award holders Alumni (GAHA) and has many years of experience
in leadership development in the community. His input in the book will benefit many readers who are keen to
serve and get started in the community.

Navigating ASEAN-Novation

Mr Tan Yinglan, NYAA Gold Award holder (2006 Cohort) and Founding Managing Partner of Insignia Ventures
Partners, a technology ventures capital firm focusing on Southeast Asia, manages capital from premier
Institutional investors, including sovereign wealth funds, foundations, university endowments and renowned
family offices from Asia, Europe and North America. Mr Tan was honoured with the Most Innovative Early-
Stage Tech Partner – Southeast Asia Award in 2020 from Capital Finance International and two back-to-back
“Venture Capital Deal of the Year Awards”. Mr Tan is a member of the World Economic Forum Agenda Council
on fostering entrepreneurship. He was named World Economic Forum Young Global Leader for four years from
2011 to 2014.
