New Chief Commissioner Of Singapore Scout Association

Mr Desmond Chong Kok Hwee, Head of Risk
Management, MasterCard Asia Pacific and NYAA
Gold Award holder (1998 Cohort) and NYAA Council
Member, was elected as the Singapore Scout
Association Chief Commissioner on 1 December 2021.

“The NYAA journey has been one of self-discovery
and development. It has provided me with many
opportunities and platforms to serve the community
and those in need. Through these experiences, I truly
appreciate the true meaning of servant leadership.
This has shaped how I lead in my professional life
and my community work”.

School’s Advisory Committee Board

Mr Sear Hock Rong, NYAA Gold Award holder
(2002 Cohort) with Ms Tin Pei Ling, MP for
MacPherson SMC.

Mr Sear Hock Rong, manager of AWWA and NYAA
Gold Award holder (2002 Cohort), is an active
grassroots leader at Kaki Bukit, in the eastern part
of Singapore. The Ministry of Education appointed
Mr Sear as Vice-Chairman, Ping Yi Secondary
School, and he has represented the school in many Mr Tan Yinglan, Founding Managing Partner of Insignia
NYAA conferences and youth events. Ventures Partners and NYAA Gold Award holder (2006
Cohort), served as a Board Member of the Hwa Chong
Institution.
Mr Roddy Mu Liguo, Managing Director, Wanhe
International and NYAA Gold Award holder
(2002 Cohort), was appointed by the Ministry of
Education as a West Spring Primary School Advisory
Committee member. Mr Mu is an active member
of the School Advisory Committee and contributed
significantly to many school projects.

Mr Mu also served as a member of the Citizens’
Consultative Committee and Community Club Mr Roddy Mu, NYAA Gold Award
Management Committee at Jurong GRC (Clementi holder (2002 Cohort) with Mr Lui Tuck
ward). Yew, Singapore Ambassador to China
in Beijing.
