APEC Voices 2021, New Zealand
New Zealand hosted the virtual APEC Leaders’
meeting in November 2021 on the theme:
“Convening to push bold and practical trade policies
seeking to secure recovery as the uncertainties to
the COVID-19 pandemic looms large over efforts to
prepare for future challenges.
APEC was at a critical juncture as economies
grappled with the way forward to achieve strong,
balanced, secure, sustainable and inclusive growth
across the region. Ms Cassandra Yip, second-
year environmental studies undergraduate with
the National University of Singapore and NYAA Youth representative handing the Youth Declaration
Gold Award holder (2018 Cohort), represented to H.E. Jacinda Arden, Prime Minister of New Zealand.
Singapore to engage with political leaders and
business leaders from the 21 APEC Economies with
120 fellow APEC Voices Youth delegates. Mr James
Soh, Co-Chair, APEC Voices Leadership Council,
delivered at the opening session, while H.E. Jacinda
Arden, Prime Minister of New Zealand, gave the
closing speech. H.E. Jacinda Arden also received
the APEC Voices Youth Declaration from the APEC
Voices Representative of New Zealand in Auckland,
New Zealand, on 10 November 2021.
The Singapore APEC Voices 2021 Delegation
presented the Youth Declaration to H.E. Jo Tyndall,
High Commissioner of New Zealand to Singapore.
Youth representatives from 21 APEC Economies
participating online for the APEC Voices of the
Future Forum 2021, hosted by New Zealand.
