            Conclusion

This project has been a valuable learning experience in sustainability. It has allowed the ESI team to bridge the gap
between theoretical knowledge acquired in school and the practical needs of the industry. The project has underscored
the importance of protecting our environment by conserving water resources while aiding companies in cost savings and
improving profitability. The ESI team sincerely thanks Timbre+ Manager Veronica Ho for her support and understanding
throughout the challenges we faced in installing and positioning the rain barrel within the premises.
            Student’s Reflection

From this project, collaborating with a SME company on a sustainability initiative was a novel experience
for me. I gained insights into various sustainability methods aimed at reducing carbon footprint.
Initially, it was challenging to devise new approaches as Timbre+ had already initiated some sustainable
practices. However, we identified that collecting rainwater and recycling it for toilet-use and cleaning as
a viable eco-solution. Through this project, I learned that reducing and recycling water and electricity can
significantly decrease our carbon emissions, contributing positively to the environment.
             Isabel Lee Li Xuan

I am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with SME Timbre+ on this sustainability project. Prior
to this project, my knowledge of sustainability was minimal, making this experience truly eye-opening
for me. I learned a great deal from the insightful discussions with Professor’s sharing at ITE Central, and
gained a deeper understanding of how sustainability practices impact the world.
Timbre+ has already implemented various methods to reduce its carbon footprint, such as solar panel
systems and air conditioning sensors. In our project, we introduced a rain harvesting system to collect
Ho Jai Jing water for floor washing and mopping, which I believe is a significant step forward. Through this project,
I have realised the importance of taking personal responsibility for reusing, reducing, and recycling to
minimise our carbon footprint for the sake of future generations.
