sentence, so I teach her a lot of homophones. For example, I said to her the
words eye and I sound the same. However, eyes refer to your two eyes on your
body that are used to seeing things, and I refers to yourself when you say “I like
ice cream.” Other homophones she learned are no, know, here, hear and there,
      and their.

My mom was attending English class before Covid-19 two days a week
for about 3 months. Then when Covid-19 hit, my mom started doing home
learning with me and my brother. It was fun and we taught my mom English.
I bonded more with my family and English is spoken more so they could
communicate better (mostly more Spanish was spoken in my family before). It
was really fun to learn English with her at home because my family helped my
mom to learn English including my aunt.

I think my first language was Spanish then English but I speak more
English than Spanish. Sometimes when I am in zoom class my mom sits next
to me, and listens to my teachers, so that helps her learn how to speak and
she learns as I learn. Once a week we will have dinner and we are required to
speak only English at the dinner table. That is so much fun. Mom said to dad
“How was your day?” and sometimes dad forgets we only speak English and he
answers in Spanish and we all laugh.
