Karen Poist, CPA
As a director of Stambaugh Ness’s State and Local Tax (SALT) Practice Area, Karen applies her significant taxation expertise to guide clients through the increasingly complex SALT environment including tax consulting, compliance and resolution.
Over her 30+ years working in the accounting industry, Karen
has developed a deep working knowledge of corporate taxation including a specialized focus in state and local sales and use tax, state and local income tax, audit representation, tax planning, consulting, due diligence, and mergers and acquisitions.
Karen enjoys serving clients in a wide range of industries and is passionate about providing clients with solutions that help them achieve their goals.
Matt Reiffer
Matt is the vice president of Infrastructure Programs for
the American Council of Engineering Companies. He is the association’s primary lobbyist on all federal transportation
issues, including roads and bridges, aviation, rail, and transit
matters before the U.S. Congress and the administration. In
his role he also oversees the council’s infrastructure advocacy agenda, including energy, environment and water infrastructure issues.
Prior to joining ACEC in 2008, Matt served for six years as the legislative director and counsel for a senior member of the U.S. House of Representatives Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.
Joan Roof, OSHP, CSHM
Joan is the associate vice president, director of safety, health and environment for the Global Program Management
group at AECOM, and the vice chair of the ACEC/PA
Safety Task Force. She brings to the table the experiences
of her 32+ year career in construction and engineering
safety management and a proven track record of planning and implementing safe work from design through field delivery.
