Fall Conference Speakers
Ryan VanKirk, PE
Ryan is a project development engineer for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Project Delivery and is the department’s ADA coordinator. In his duties as a project development engineer, he has oversight responsibilities to assure that transportation projects are delivered to be safe and adhere to criteria, standards, schedule and environmental regulations.
As ADA coordinator, Ryan is responsible for maintaining guidance and standards regarding pedestrian facility design and construction and is a primary point
of contact and technical resource for district and other stakeholder inquiries.
He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with 27 years of transportation project development experience as a civil engineer.
D. Eric Veydt, PE, PEng, ENVSP
Eric has been with Gannett Fleming since graduation from
Penn State University in 1982. During his 38 years with
Gannett Fleming, he developed a broad engineering
background ranging from bridge and highway design to
environmental evaluations and planning. This wide range of
experience has led to his current role as a vice president for
Transportation for Gannett Fleming’s Pennsylvania operations.
Eric is president of ACEC/PA, providing leadership with the executive committee and board of directors, and has served ACEC/PA since prior to the establishment of Act 89.
Kristi Weierbach, PhD, SPHR, SHRM-SCP
