 2002-2012 SEASONS
Celebrating Three Decades of Glorious Singing
We grieve, we celebrate, and we feel hope and inspiration through the choral art, and that was clearly evident during this time in the Chorale’s history. From somber memorials of 9/11, to singing opera with the HSO, to sharing the stage with C3PO at a Star Wars
in Concert performance at the Giant Center— the Chorale’s performances captured what was happening in the world and expressed the full range of human emotion. Always focused on reaching a larger audience through song, the Chorale added the Young Women’s Chorale and Preparatory Choir to the Educational Outreach program, was frequently in demand for special community events and HSO performances, became ensemble-in-residence at Messiah College, and joined the Wheatland Chorale for a memorable European tour in 2008. The list of commissioned works, recordings, and accolades continued to grow as the Chorale closed out this decade by celebrating thirty years of choral artistry and excellence.
