SPEAKERS - Day 3 Ali Detar, CPSM
Ali is a 16-year veteran of marketing and communications
in the A/E/C industry. Recently, she joined Michael Baker International as vice president of marketing communications where she works across the company to plan and execute programs that elevate the firm’s brand.
Previously, she served as director of marketing
communications at Gannett Fleming, responsible for
managing companywide corporate marketing efforts. Ali’s imprint
on Gannett Fleming includes launching its award-winning corporate magazine, corporate sustainability report, and annual report for employees. Earlier in
her career, she served in various roles for Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, including serving in the Chief Executive Office as director of communications.
David Lowdermilk
David is an engineer and manager serving in the planning, design, and construction of transportation infrastructure. He serves as WSP’s Vice President/Mid-Atlantic District Operations Leader and oversees project operational performance of over 1,000 employees serving clients in PA, NJ and DE. WSP’s key Pennsylvania offices include Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Bethlehem, Exton, Ephrata, York, and Camp Hill.
David served as President of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Pennsylvania for the 2013-2014 year, and continues to serve as an active member with ACEC/PA.
Aside from his contributions to engineering, David has been an active member in his community, serving diligently within several different roles. His commitment to not only his career, but also his community, distinguishes him among many of his peers.
