Direct-style questions within sentences (i.e. “embedded questions”)
Questions can be placed inside a sentence as in “I don't know who invented toothbrushes” and “I asked her if she loved me.” In Japanese we do this by placing a direct-style question within a sentence as in ぺイて来ィづ言ぽむどぺはぞ ‘Tell me who will come.’ Note that direct style questions are different from casual speech questions, which avoid づ.
