The Future
The number of memorials continue
to grow and there are over 150
applications to erect memorials still to
be considered. The site is truly a fitting
tribute to those who serve or have served
their country and those who have gone
before us. Everyone should visit the
Arboretum.

Memorials
No visit to the Arboretum is complete
without seeing the numerous memorials,
now numbering over 300, which are
beautifully laid out. At the time of writing
there is a Battle of the Somme exhibition
and visitors have painted small wooden
soldiers and planted them in a grassed
area to depict those who fell in that battle.
Walking along Millennium Avenue you
will find the Corps Memorial which stands
proudly with the Staffordshire Regiment
Memorial behind it and the Armed
Forces Memorial as a dramatic backdrop.
Continue along Millennium Avenue and
you will see many memorials from all three
services.
