’ll start by welcoming the Kensington & Eal-
Iing Borough players and management along
with today’s match officials to Chalky Lane.
Tuesday was another very frustrating evening, see-
ing us lose out by the odd goal out of seven against
a very youthful and spirited Walton & Hersham side. The result shows
that we have work to do, but that not being exclusive to the defenders.
We’ve got to be better out of possession full stop! On a positive note we
managed to get another three goals and that’s eleven in our last four
league games.
The group is still very much together but we are also aware that we have
to be better across the board and start to turn things around rapidly.
Depite the inconsistencies we are very much aiming for promotion, but
realistically recognise that the longer we go without putting a run of
results together the harder it becomes for us to make it a reality.
We have some really talented young players at the club and that is shown
in the currant U18 league standings and by the number of teenagers that
have been involved in the 1st team this season. Going forward these
lads will definitely be getting their opportunities and I’m excited about
what they are going to offer us and I’ll be working closely with them to
continue to support their individual development.
January throws up an extremely busy month for us and by the time we
travel to Jersey in early February, we’ll have a really good idea of where
we are in terms of our targets for the season.
All I can promise is that myself and the boys will continue to work hard
in order to get it right, of which I’m certain we will do.
I hope you enjoy the game this afternoon and have a safe journey home.
