SHOUTING FROM THE STANDS
It's good to be back in the stands today at Grand Drive.
The weather has started to warm up, we're fresh back from a
draw at Jersey that, while disappointing that we didn't
get the win, was a respectable result against a team who
have yet to be beaten at home. The new lights are up
so evening games are back on and they are BRIGHT
- from a distance it looks like an alien invasion over
SW20! - and someone has ripped down the rather
dangerous looking mess that used to occupy the top
corner of the ground and now all the chat around
here is about what will replace it. All we know is
that the previous mess seems to have annoyed
RPV's chief Miracle Worker, Marc Skinner who,
apparently, decided enough was enough and
pulled it down himself!
Vale Ultras are starting to sing
In another huge move for the club here, in the main stand we've been hear-
ing the starts of some actual chants!! Encouraged by a couple of notorious
Vale fans, who are definitely not named John and David, a small group
of Vale Ultras are starting to sing, and not just when we're winning! Billy
Bishop appears to have been the first focus of this new trend with Nes Bel-
likli starting to make an appearance. Needless to say we all applaud this new
initiative and there are rumours of handsome rewards being offered for new
material! The charity squad No.1 song can't be far behind.
