Dear Dad and Mom,
Thank you for the retreat letter that you wrote me! I really
liked hearing from you :) Unexpectedly, I genuinely
enjoyed the retreat and it was a real eye-opener for me as
a Catholic. Giáo Lý classes have been fun and nice since
I have several friends. I wish I was able to have my
Confirmation classes in real life, because my classmates
were so fun and sweet once I was able to meet them in the
retreat in real life. Yes, I’m excited about Confirmation
and can’t wait to be fully immersed as a member of the
Catholic Church. I’m thinking of volunteering at
whichever church we go to once we move, because it
seems like it’s a really cool experience to be a Catholic
youth group leader. I used to not enjoy going to Church
because I didn’t understand anything and was constantly
bored, but recently I’ve been able to interpret the gospels
and homilies that thầy và cô give. Thank you for assisting
me in my journey of being a Catholic, and I’ll always help
and care for you out when you need it <3
Love,
Evelyn
Dear Mom and Dad,
Thank you for all the times you held my hand and my heart, and everything in between. For loving me, when no
part of me wanted to, and when no part of me was able to. For seeing right through my soul, when I had no ability
to do so. For respecting my space, all the times when I could not open my heart to you. For being my voice, all
the days I was unable to speak. For laughing with me through my joy.
Thank you for healing me each and every time. For taking my sadness, and making it your own. For having the
absolute kindest hearts. For teaching me what being a good person truly means.
Thank you for all the tough love. For helping me make some of the best decisions of my life. For opening my eyes.
For helping me push away anything toxic in my life. For leading me to understand what I truly deserve. I am
forever grateful.
Thank you for showing me what unconditional love truly means. For crying with me through my pain. For listening
to my heart, and comforting it, and never letting it believe that it was alone.
Thank you for the invaluable advice. For accepting me as I am and loving every part of me.
Thank you for existing, and for being in the world. Thank you for loving me.
Love,
Benjamin
