ENGAGING WITH COLOUR 2018-19
02
Introduction
As an educational charity the SDC provides education in many different forms
to many different end users. 2017 was an exciting year of development across
the whole of the SDC’s colour education pathway. Key to the development
of new and updated courses and content has been the delivery via the SDC’s
online learning platform, colour.network, which went live in 2017, and is the
gateway to learning more about coloration.
The SDC uses global experts to deliver education for school leaver through to degree
level, to those from a technical and design background, creating a community that
understands global issues and together delivers solutions.
“I chose FTCC as it is an industry recognised
course which taught a broad range of topics
specifically for the coloration of textiles.”
Laura Franklin, ASDC, Technical Manager, Wooltex
“The course not only helps in giving me the
knowledge to work in the industry but
also provides me with a network of people
around me. It provides the ideal preparation
for my ASDC course.”
Adam Pursell, Technical Dyer, DP Dyers Ltd
“Having had no formal training in colour my
colleague suggested that I try the TCC course.
I am now confident in dyeing and colour and
able to educate the production guys in this.”
Stuart Burgin, Forbo Flooring Ltd
