MICK TURNER I PERSONAL STATEMENT
Personal statement
I am a driven and motivated individual who is committed to making a positive difference in everything I undertake. I am proud of the number of successful outcomes that I have been able to achieve in the various masonic roles that I have been privileged to undertake together with the difficult issues I have had to deal with. I believe that I have dealt with these robustly but fairly.
My demonstrable and verifiable success in a number of different and diverse fields stems from my ability to bring people together, inspire a shared vision, and drive collective achievement.
Whether in business, policing, sport or Freemasonry, I have consistently united individuals around a common goal and delivered tangible results.
I believe that our values are as relevant and appealing as
they always have been. Put simply, there is far more noise
in the modern world that is drowning out our message. We need to raise our volume so that we are heard, and utilise all the tools available to us, particularly our charity, to drive new membership. We need to be present in our communities and focus on supporting our Lodges to deliver on this.
I can be tenacious but consistently deliver on what I have promised to do. I am a proven leader, with a well established history of building and managing winning teams. I believe that, as an organisation, we need to be “kicking to win” rather than “kicking for touch”, we should therefore be fielding our A team and appointing the best candidates available.
I believe I am that candidate and that I have much to contribute to the role of Deputy Grand Master.
