What is the cost of buying an apartment at Huntleigh Apartments?
When you purchase an apartment, you are effectively purchasing a ‘Licence to Occupy’. Prices for apartments vary depending on their size and location of the apartment.

Do the apartments have a title?
No, however the security is provided by the signed Occupation Right Agreement. It is widely recognised as the best method to serve the interests of residents in retirement villages throughout New Zealand.
This provides for the appointment of a Statutory Supervisor, and ensures that residents receive the promised facilities and services.
What is a Statutory Supervisor?
Under the Occupation Right Agreement, a Statutory Supervisor is appointed through a ‘Deed of Supervision’ to safeguard the interests of residents. This is a requirement under the Retirement Villages Act 2003. The Statutory Supervisor is an independent appointee who monitors the operator’s financial performance and ultimately protects residents’ interests. Covenant Trustee Services Limited is the Statutory Supervisor for Huntleigh Apartments.
Will I have a say in the running of Huntleigh Apartments?
Yes, of course. We welcome suggestions and comments from residents.
Can I have a pet?
Yes! We understand pets are often an important part of the family. Pets, including birds and cats, are usually welcome at Huntleigh Apartments as long as they get on with other people and animals. Please discuss this with the village manager before your pet moves in.
Can my family and friends stay with me?
Of course! After all, this is your home and your family and friends are an important part of your life. Family and friends are welcome to visit, and stay for short periods. For security reasons we ask that you notify the village coordinator when you have visitors staying over. Guest accommodation is also available for a fee.
If you have a large number of people you would like to entertain for birthdays or special occasions, you can book Huntleigh Apartments’ shared function and dining area. We simply ask that at all times
the other residents are respected and not unduly inconvenienced.
