 LIVENING ELECTRICAL WORKS POLICY
    Task: Livening electrical works 6th September 2018 Brief:
Prior to visiting the site:
Ensure you have all of the following:
• Test sheet.
• Multi meter, Insulation resistance, earth fault loop, low ohms, voltage.
• Access to AS/NZS3000:2018 section 8, and AS/NZS 3017
• Sequence of testing, Fig 8.1 in section 8 and Fig, 1.1 in 3017
Gear required for job:
• Electrical tape
• Connector strips
• Junction blocks
• Blank plates
   This is a company wide process that must be followed. Failure to do so will result in you being stood down while an investigation is undertaken. Disciplinary action will be taken.
Electricity is one of the most dangerous aspects of any building site. Everyone onsite is relying on YOU doing your job correctly to ensue the safety of everyone around you.
Following this procedure will protect you and others around you.

This process must be followed to remind you of best practices.
YOU are the expert trained in the safe management of electrical systems. Other trades or public are not experienced and can not be expected to know what is happening.
If you do not have the time to follow this procedure fully DO NOT LIVEN YOUR SITE. If you are being pressured by other trades or homeowner request help from your manager.
       Key point 4
   Never leave a situation that someone can liven a cable without their full knowledge. Tradesmen WILL turn on a switch or MCB even if you have left it off.
Use a lock off or leave cable UN-terminated at power sauce.
