TOKELAU IS AN INDEPENDENT TERRITORY OF NEW ZEALAND LOCATED IN THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC OCEAN. IT IS A 24 HOUR BOAT RIDE FROM SAMOA. THE POPULATION IS AROUND 1,400.
Trade mark protection
A New Zealand trade mark registration extends to Tokelau. However, trade mark registrations in New Zealand filed under the Madrid Protocol do not extend to Tokelau automatically.
