Privacy Screen
• Privacy screen may have a 45- or 90-degree cutoffs at the end
• Privacy screen be constructed the full depth of the deck
• That there be only screen per deck
• That screens be left to weather naturally or sealed with a clear colorless sealant,
to match the deck
• That the lattice be property recessed and framed with either trim boards or wood
lattice channel pieces,in accordance with the Design Guidelines for decks
When approved Trex materials and colors are used, pressure-treated wood
portions of the screens and d ecks must be stained to match using one of the
coordinating approved deck colors (e.g., Behr Redwood with Trex SelectMadeira
and Behr Cedar with Trex Select Saddle).
For requests for using composite decking materials from another manufacturer
other than Trex, a DRB application must be submitted for review by staff to
ensure design compatibility.
