Upper-Level Decks

Materials

• Pressure treated wood
• Composite (or wood-like) material, such as Trex, Azek, ChoiceDek, or equivalent. Color:
must be similar color/stain to the existing approved Walden Cluster deck colors.
• Any deck replacement or alteration will require homeowners to complete a Design
Review Board application prior to work initiation.

Railings

• Require the horizontal boards to span the space between and not on the
exterior of the vertical post.
• Railing with sweep space, fascia board reveals the 4’ posts
• Railing with sweep space, fascia board covers the 4’ posts
• Fascia boards at the bottom of the railing to be extended between the 4” x
4” post
• Aluminum balusters, ¾” flat, vertical, balusters attached outside of top and
bottom 2” x 4” fascia boards, color: bronze
• Homeowners may submit an application for alternative railing styles
which may not conform to cluster standards on a case-b-case basis.
