The year 2023 marked the 30 anniversary of the admittance of the first
female Ordinary Members in the history of The YORK. Club.
The original group of five, then shortly thereafter seven, women admitted
quickly became involved in the Club at every level and the first female
Director was appointed in 1998.
That same year, the Toronto Ladies' Club amalgamated with The YORK. Club
in a watershed moment for the latter.
We would like to retroactively acknowledge both anniversaries, milestones which each had
an incredible and positive impact on the social fabric of the Club.
