UConn Recreation
UConn Recreation is ‘Where the Student Body Develops’! There
are unlimited opportunities to help you stay active and reach your
fitness goals. The main office is located in the Student Recreation
Facility (SRF) on Hillside Road. Stop by and see what is offered
from Fitness/Strength Training to Aquatics and Basketball
to Racquetball. UConn Recreation has something for every
student.

UConn Outdoors Bodywise

Special Programs
UConn Recreation is proud to offer an exciting lineup of events
and activities throughout the academic year. The Road Dogs
Training Team will support you through a nine-week training
program to prepare you to complete a half marathon. Canoe
Battleship is a full size version of the well-known board game,
Battleship. Get your friends and compete in Brundage pool.
Kayak training clinics and the Indoor Triathalon will keep you
active indoors during the New England winters.
Adventure Center Things to Do 5
Stop by The Adventure Center to rent outdoor equipment and
create your own outdoor adventure. A variety of rental equipment
is available including bikes, tents, sleeping bags, cooksets,
snowshoes, and cross country skis. The Adventure Center
also offers “How To” clinics for outdoor skills and activities.
The Center’s resource area offers guidebooks, park maps,
mapping software, and other instructional materials.
Climbing Center
The Climbing Facility is located in the Student Recreation Center
(SRF). It includes over 2000 square feet of climbing space with 15
top rope climbs and a bouldering-only area. Get in great shape and
challenge yourself with new climbing routes and enjoy a great time
with friends.
