Therefore, the purpose of this description text is not only
to describe the characteristics of an object, person, place, animal
and so on. However, it can also be used so that readers can
imagine and visualize an object, person, animal, and place.
Here’s an example of an activity. Let’s play!
Students are divided into pairs. Then describe a favorite
object that have you without mentioning the object in
questions. Don’t tell your partner or other friends! Next
activity, go forward with your partner, determine one person
to read the description text without mentioning the object in
question. Ask your partner to guess the object. Enjoy!
Helping the reader in decision-making.
When you are faced with a difficult choice, for example,
confused about which place to go to on vacation. Maybe it
would be better to first look at the features and characteristics
of the description of the two places.
This description text can be used as a benchmark for
choosing a place. For example, if you are confused about going
to the beach or the mountain. You can see the description text
about the two places, then choose which place is suitable and in
accordance with what you want based on reading the
description text.
C. Structure
Descriptive text has 2 structures, identification and description.

Contains an introduction to the name of the object, the
meaning of the name, location, history of birth, or other
general description of the object being described
