If you have not made your reservations for our National Specialty in Niagara Falls
from October 4th to the 7th, do it now! We have not been able to get together for
way too long and I would like to see everyone there. This fall’s National Specialty
immediately follows the 4-day Wine Country cluster of shows so you can enjoy over
10 days of shows if you wish too. We will also have our annual CCCI Membership
meeting as part of the specialty along with a Judges Education seminar presented by Mary Wuest, a
seminar presented by Dr. Michael Court on the CHF/Washington State University anesthesia study
sponsored by CCCI and lots of fun activities.
Also, mark your calendars for the following two National Specialties as follows:
• April 10th to 14th, 2022 – Pennsylvania Specialty at the Radisson Hotel
Harrisburg in Camp Hill, PA
• May 15th to 18th, 2023 – Nebraska Specialty at the Marriott Riverside Hotel in
South Sioux City, NE

If anyone, club or member, has an interest in hosting the Nation Specialty in 2024, please reach
out to me as the CCCI Board will be hopefully awarding the bid at its annual meeting next April
in Camp Hill. Bid packets are due 30 days prior to the annual meeting and should be sent to the
Corresponding Secretary.
By the time this Chow Life is published, the Nominating Committee slate for next year should be
known. If you are interested in running for one of the Officer or Board positions and not part of the
Nominating Committee slate, you can always petition to have your name added to the ballot, per the
following provision of the CCCI By-Laws:
Article V – Section 6 – Additional Nominations: Additional nominations of eligible
members who shall have the qualifications stated in Section 3 above may be made by
Resident Members of the Club by written petition addressed to the Recording Secretary
and received on or before October 1st, signed by ten Resident Members and accompanied
by the written acceptance of each such additional nominee signifying his willingness to be
a candidate.
As a reminder, the AKC is taking the “Meet the Breeds” on the road this year. There will be seven
different events in the following cities and if you are interested in working to coordinate the Chow
booth at one of the locations, please let me know. The AKC will produce and transport the breed
booth to the various locations and members will be reimbursed for reasonable expenses.
The Meet the Breeds locations and dates that have not occurred yet are:
