Note from the Editor

I am looking forward to another year of Chow Life offering
articles covering a variety of topics, but to do this I need
your help. I look for articles that are interesting and informative, to
both newcomers and those who have been in the breed for many
years, and that cover diverse topics. Sometimes this is easier said than done. If you
have an article that you think would be interesting to Chow Life readers please send
me a copy of the article or information on it and the contact information for obtaining
permission to reprint it at ChowLife2018@gmail.com.
I would like to thank everyone who has supported Chow Life this past year by
advertising, sponsoring pages, contributing articles & features, and subscribing.
Currently for 2023 all of the front covers and the Spring back cover have been reserved,
but there are still several other preferred pages available. If you would like to reserve
a back cover, inside back cover, page 1 or page 3, please email me at ChowLife2018@
                     gmail.com.
In 2016, Chow Life added a digital version to its print subscriptions. Over the past
several years I have been working on scanning back issues and uploading them to the
digital magazine service, as time permits. At the end of last year, the 2015-2013 issues
were added and now the 2012-2010 issues have been uploaded. Currently, you (or
anybody) can now read older issues of Chow Life from 2017 through 2010 at no charge.
The digital issues of Chow Life can be accessed from the digital bookshelf at https://
book.flipbuilder.com/michaelheldt/index.html. The issues that are available at no
cost do not have a price tag on their cover. Just click on the issue cover and then click
“View” to read one of these back issues.

I hope the New Year is a healthy and prosperous one for all.

                       FUN FACT –
There have been several famous people who were owned
by Chows. Many of you may know that the artist Georgia O’Keefe, had
several Chows, but you may not know that she was a member of CCCI in
                       the early 1970s.
