We really know the season has started when Crufts Our specialist judge must have had a very difficult

magnificent with his lovely deep self-red coat
standing out against the green of the ring carpet.
After a good afternoon’s rest, he put up a superb
showing in the big Utility Group. This year’s Group
Judge was Jackie Kitchener (kennel Michandy

Chows. Jackie’s critique of the Chow reads :- “The
very impressive Chow, who I am sure gained many Int. Ch. Fire's Son dei Leoni Imperiali
admirers and who was very close indeed to gaining
a place in the final 4.” So our representative very We were in for another delightful surprise in the

large and showy group. also the Best Puppy in Breed was awarded to a really
new puppy ….. not even 9 months old until the
following day. She is Olive Taylor’s Sky Dream Djalo
at Taylorian, an import from Belarus. Olive had
seen some puppies on the internet bred by Svetlana
Erinova ( Djalo kennel in Belarus) and she fell in
love with the photo of Sky. As Olive had previously
had a dog from Svetlana she knew the temperament
of the Djalo chows was fantastic. Sky arrived in
Northern Ireland at 4 months old. When Olive
collected her, the sun was shining and there was a
beautiful sky. Very appropriate as Olive had decided
to call her Sky. When Olive and Sky first met Sky
wagged her tail and her hugs and kisses haven’t
stopped since. Sky has the sweetest nature. Luckily
she is a very good traveller as the ferry crossing to
and from Ireland can be very rough at times. Sky
qualified for Crufts at Manchester Ch. show in
January, her first show when only 7 months old. She
had never before experienced the extra large and
rather noisy ring at Crufts but she showed well, only
UK Ch.-Multi Ch. Heart Mind Fire dei Leoni Imperiali occasionally showing the funny crazy side of her
personality as a lively happy puppy.
