Per 2004 action of the CCCI Board of Directors, the CCCI’s OFA database has been expanded to include
all CCCI recognized health certifications. These certifications include: OFA (Hip, Elbow, Patella, Thyroid,
Cardiac, DNA), PennHip, CERF and CHIC.
When you receive notification of your Chow’s health certification, please send the following information to:

This information is needed for updating each quarterly report in Chow Life as well as the CCCI Health Services currently offered by OFA:

The Orthopedic Foundation for Animals has always had a semi-open database, only disclosing data for
normal results. The OFA will now allow owner choice regarding disclosure of data from individual animals. PRELIMINARY HIP AND/OR
At the time of submission, the owner must choose if abnormal results are to be released. If no choice is made, ELBOW EVALUATION: Under 24 Months
only normal results will be disclosed for individuals.
This change will not affect information currently in the database. If an owner would like to disclose abnormal HIP/ELBOW EVALUATION:
results on an animal evaluated before this policy went into effect, they may do so by completing and submit- 24 Months & Older
