Peach fruit
Peach, (Prunus persica), is a fruit
tree from the rose family (Rosaceae)
that grows in temperate tropical
regions of both the northern and
southern hemispheres.
geographical location
Peaches grow in a relatively limited
range in dry, continental or
temperate climates. Iran is the sixth
largest producer of peaches in the
world with an annual production of
more than 400,000 million tons.
In general, the main areas of peach
production in Iran are Mazandaran,
Tehran, Alborz, Azerbaijan, Khorasan
and Qazvin.
