Where any part of the process is not compliant with Group Company local policy, local legislative
requirements and the requirements to this Global Standard, remedial action must be put in place to
address any shortfalls immediately. Any root cause is to be identified and actions put in place to remedy
any non-compliance.
Where defects that breach local regulatory requirements are consistently being identified on pre-use check,
or where multiple critical faults are being identified, Group Companies must investigate if this is due to a
specific component issue or a failing of any maintenance systems and processes.
9.0 Vehicle Safety Inspections
All Group Company vehicle safety inspection policies must contain a process for reviewing defects found
during safety inspections that should have been identified by drivers during pre-use checks. Where defects
that can be described as ‘driver related’ are consistently identified there must be a formal process for
feedback and refinement of the pre-use check process, this may include updating the check criteria and
remedial or refresher training.
